Staten Island

Went to Staten Island to have dinner with Liz's family. After that Liz and I headed to South Beach.. no, NOT Florida, but a nearby boardwalk. The shoot didn't really last long considering the weather was probably in the negatives! I couldn't feel my fingers at all and my face was burning cold. I have so many ideas for the shoot here so I definitely have to head back again.

Went to Shoprite to buy ice-cream and took a quick shot of Eve over here haha

Happy Birthday, Rich!

My friends and I celebrated my boy Rich's birthday last night at Carmine's in Manhattan. Rich is a friend of mine that is trying to run his business, FUTUREAMAZING, with his partner. I met Rich through Don because they are brothers and I had no choice but to meet the guy. (Check out Don's birthday HERE)
Carmine's is located at the Theater District of Manhattan at W 44th... between 7th and 8th. It is definitely a spot to go to with a huge party. The food is amazing and each platter is served for 3-4 persons. Carmine's isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but it definitely is worth the money. They do take a while to serve the food though, but I guess the kitchen was busy since it was a Friday night.

After dinner, the group walked around Time Square for a few minutes. It was horrendous out, but the lights of the city were to beautiful to pass up... until our body parts became numb from the blistering cold We tried to look for the closest subway to warm up and head to the Bowery to continue our drinking binge.

open ice.

Took  few shots at Floyd Hall Arena. I actually took my stand and umbrella along with me and snapped away on the ice itself. It was pretty fun and new to me. Few more pics HERE

Photoshoot. Ahmad

A good friend of mine who loves to one day be a model. He asked if I could help him take pictures for his portfolio. Why not? Let's just hope these modeling companies like the pictures I took of you.

Photoshoot. Golda

I had a fun shoot today with my sister again. We were just doing it for laughs and giggles. I told her to use more colors for the shoot so she could look vibrant. I was basically getting to know my flashes a little better. I used both the 580exII (on camera) and 430exII (camera left) this time to get more light.

Photoshoot. Joey Cos

Joey Cos, the hometown hip hop artist. Don't tell me your boys could rap... because I've already heard the best. I did a shoot for him to put on his mixtape which should drop soon. Watch out for it. TRUST ME. Click HERE to listen to some of his work.. or click HERE to see the pictures.

Grand ol' time

Ok so I couldn't sleep at all last night. I was having nightmares and kept waking up every effing 5 minutes waiting for this damn 24-70L lens (Click HERE for the old post about it). I keep thinking UPS will leave me a "You-didn't-open-your-door-so-pick-it-up-tomorrow note" or that my package would just not come today. BUT it did arrive and I couldn't have been any more jolly than a little kid getting all the toys he had on his wish list from Santa. Basically, it felt like I got an A on a quiz, my birthday and christmas all together.
What's even more exciting is (if you're into photography, earmuff yourself... or should I say don't read the next few lines because you might get jealous) that I bought 2, you read that correctly... 2!! Pocketwizard FlexTT5's, a 7ft. Manfrotto stand, a 32in CL Reflective umbrella, and a 580EXII all this week... hence the title for this post minus the "ol' time."
OH man has it been a crazy week for my pockets... I don't even think that there's lint stuck inside anymore. I'm all out ;)

ANYWHO... here's some shots taken with my new 24-70L lens.

New Year

I celebrated New Year's Eve at my house this year and invited a couple friends. Nothing too big and nothing too small. It was really a perfect size with the perfect people. I didn't want to go too crazy like my New Year's Eve party 2 years ago (Click HERE).  We had music blasting through our new home theatre system, some eats, and a whole lota' booze and liquor to end and start the new year. Oh man it was entertaining!
