Here's some behind the scene shots for BDubdez music video Choreo (I would post up more but I accidentally deleted them after I gave the copy to my boy Alfy.) BDubez is a rapper from Brooklyn, NY that I met during the shoot through Alfy. He asked if he could use my studio for a video shoot. How could I say no?! My studio will be part of a music video!!

So they came today and Devin (who I also met a few days earlier) came early to set up the green screen. Then the rest of the crew came by. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just give you guys some links.

Photoshoot. DJ Nano

Had the pleasure to do a session with DJ Nano today. It's such a small world, let me tell you. This guy has known my sister for years and his mom is good friends with my dad. I also saw DJ Nano on the stage at the Philippine Independence Day Parade... I never really realized it until I saw photos on Facebook. (I think I even took a couple pictures of him during the parade). Anyway you should click HERE to see a couple more pictures.

I am a HUGE fan and will forever be. I remember watching music videos at my cousins house in the Philippines when I was 6 or 7. I remember my sister rapping the rap part of Black or White with Macaulay Culkin lip-syncing it. I remember watching his videos repeatedly just so I can learn how to do the infamous Moon Walk. I remember watching The Simpson's episode when Michael was the voice of Leon, the fat bald guy. I remember dancing Thriller for Battle of The Classes '06 and the entire audience was going insane. I remember and will ALWAYS remember how talented you are Michael. May you rest in peace.

by far, my most favorite video of MJ... is, of course, with MJ.

a very heart-warming episode, sort of, of the Simpsons when it was Lisa's birthday. Who could forget that Birthday song? It gave me goosebumps. I know MJ didn't really sing it but he did contribute to the lyrics and was the voice in some parts of the episode. This was the best version I could find on YouTube. Credit to adamxxxx18 for the video.

We got the privilege to meet up with Belle Epoque. They are an underground band who we got to talk to for a bit. MAD cool guys.

Bamboozle 09

It's that time of the year again. BAMBOOZLE, the only festival where you can find your perfect scene, other than Warped Tour, of course. You will never find this many scene/emo kids anywhere.... not even the search bar on google. The only time where people would pay $4 for a shot of water, $8 for 3 gulps of beer and $6 bucks for a cheeseburger (hold the burger).

I was enraptured for this Saturday because the set times were close to perfect. The bands I wanted to see were all there (excluding a couple like Family Force 5 and Taking Back Sunday to name a few). Other than that, I was able to see Cartel for the first time ever since I started listening to them. There were a couple new bands that did their job pretty well. Mercy Mercedes and The Morning Light were real good. Danger Radio covered a couple songs by other artist. Boys Like Girls did their thing and had about 3 remixes on Dance Hall Drug.

The day couldn't have been any better. I just hated the fact that Imagination and Wonka Stage were RIGHT next to each other. The crowd at the end of the day went bonkers. But what else do you expect, right? haha.

HOLY SHIT! it was insaaaane. I finally saw all the bands i've been wanting to see, excluding Paramore (Hayley is so hot) and Cobra Starship. The drive to Camden took a while but it was fun considering we were listening to Queen on the way to Warped. Super excited the moment we entered the place. We had nothing to do until 5 because that's when all the good bands play. It was volcanically HOT too. Brittany was sweating more than me hahaha. Well, anyway, here we goooo....

So i went to the city to watch a concert sponsored by Good Morning America. they have concerts every friday, i believe, and my sister, mom, and i just so happened to find out that Maroon 5 was playing today. woke up at 5:30am and arrived at Bryant Park around 7am. Maroon 5 sucks...well, that's what i was saying until i figured out that they were only doing sound check. it just so happened that the event doesn't even start for another hour and a half. and when it started i was like "there you go...that's the Maroon 5 i'm talking about." they pretty good. Emeril was there too. dude gets bigger and bigger every time i see him.

It was bizzerk! first off, to all the people who went on saturday, i just want to call you a loser because we all know all the good bands were displayed to the crowd on sunday. Besides the fact that me and hacker were partied out due to the previous night, we had to wake up 4 hours later to Spano's call, met up at my house and went to the Giant's Stadium. 

All i can say is that there couldn't have been any other band to start out the day as crazy as possible. All Time Low couldn't have been any better. Honestly, we thought we were going to be trampled by rowdy ass quidos in the crowd. for serious. check these out. pretty much in time order.

To sum it up, it was a good day. didn't even rain. I'm just pissed off how i couldn't get to watch Cobra Starship, We The Kings and Forever the Sickest Kids (if Spano didn't line up to go the bathroom twice). Those were pretty much the only bands i really wanted to see...oh yeah, and Paramore so i could scream out HALLELUJAH! haha.

btw...did i forget to tell you that you have to be rich as hell so you don't starve to death as you wait for your band to perform? yeah. $4 water bottle. need i say more?
