Jackals

After all the years Floyd Hall Arena has been opened, never had they had their own in-house hockey team... I guess it's never too late to realize it. It must have been between those ice cuts and registering customers when everyone looked at the ceiling, paused, hmphed, and said, at the same time, "WHY DON'T WE MAKE A TEAM?" I'm being sarcastic, of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if i were only an inch away from that being true. Anyway, enjoy the pictures because we surely didn't enjoy the outcome of the game. =\

FHA Jackals.. we ready!

Overall, it was a fun game. That's what it's really all about... next to the bbq, beers, goals, winning... I could go on but why bother?

Happy Birthday, Matt!

I have known Matt since 5th grade. I remember watching him land all the flat land tricks I've been trying to do on a bike. He did it nonchalantly and only days after seeing me struggle with it. I was pissed and jealous haha. We joined band together too. Had solos for senior year in the marching band. Damn, we've known each other for way too long. Heart you bro!
We celebrated his 21st at Shannon Rose. Met his Montclair friends Terrence and Kim. Kerry came by with Sara and her friends to celebrate Kerry's 21st also. It was a crazy night.

Twilight-flavored

So Jake has a female friend who happens to adore Twilight like every other girl in the world. He thought of making this huge surprise for her in a crazy (by crazy i mean gay) way. So we thought, "HEY! since jewelry is expensive, and flowers are boring, why not make a TWILIGHT-FLAVORED cake!" (funny right?)...so we did.

Being that i used to work at a bakery, i thought it would be easier to actually make it. i thought wrong. Thanks to Gencarelli's, the whole thing didn't come out half as bad. i knew working at a bakery would pay off somehow one day.

baking process
Twilight Saga...
...wrapped in foil
cutting the cake ever so gently in half
top and 1 wall... 3 more sides to go!
with the icing!!
SURPRISE!
(of course Jake ruins it with Boring-Brown colored sprinkles)
the finished product!
after 3 hours of this grueling project (or however long 40Year Old Virgin + Anchorman is) the end result looks astonishing...and TASTY if I do say so myself. We hope she enjoys the cake, err i mean surprise, as much as we enjoyed baking it.
