later gator

Lent was a couple days ago and I just realized that I haven't given something up. I usually don't do this but when I do, I end up failing a few days after. But this year will be different. 2010 will be the year I do something about myself. So what should I liberate myself from you ask? I decided to deactivate my Facebook account today! Ok ok ok I know it sounds asinine giving up something unworthy. But I figure if I had to give something up for lent, why not something that DOESN'T help me with my life.

I don't want to be that person that depends on the internet craze to live. Also, I don't want to be that person who creeps on strangers profiles to try to get to know them. I don't want to be that person that writes a book on the "status" bar and act emo so I could desperately get major comments. I don't want to be that person that changes "status" every 5 minutes so people can go out of their way to see what nonsense I have to say about my life. I don't want to be that person that believes in relationships statuses and converse with my fellow facebook creepers about it. I don't want to be that person that needs dire attention that I have to comment people so I can get a comment back on my "wall." I don't want to be that person that revolves my free time waiting for a "notification" just to find out it was just a dumb application that you received from people you don't know. I could keep going but you might think that this is all based on ME... PLEASE DON'T!

I AM NOT THAT PERSON

Here's a few tips. If you can relate to...
1 of these... it's ok, I don't blame you.. I've done it (the notification, but not as serious as I made it seem)
2 of these... I can sort of understand
3 of these... I probably make fun of you when I see you
4 of these... smh (and if you know what that acronym is for then I'm smh again)
5 of these... GET A LIFE!

REAL TALK

Maybe I'll see you back on Facebook in 40 days? Maybe not? Maybe I could finally do some sit ups and read my Micro book? Just maybe...
